four eyes mind-fucking pic

In honor of my new glasses, here's a photoshopped pic that makes my head hurt.

I find that looking at it with one eye closed gives me less of a headache.

It reminds me of the way things appear when I look at them over the top of my glasses.

looking at it makes me feel like being way too drunk while desperately trying to fall asleep.

You almost don't notice the two mouths.

That gives me a headache.

I guess that means: “Congrats on making a picture that hurts to look at!”

Ouch! I was getting left brain/right brain video feedback with intense pain until I closed one, then two eyes.

Well done ( i think )

That reminds me of the album cover for the 1977 Harry Nilsson album Knnillssonn. Follow this link to see what I mean.

Anyone know where this picture originally comes from?

I'd love a hi-res version from the original creator.

After throwing up after looking at this photo for too long, I have to tell you that you are brilliant.
Partying since 1977. Okay, That's about right for me too.
Going to have a scotch now because I'm feeling decidedly out of focus since the pic. The adult beverage should help.

It hurts to look at, but honestly, the web page with the black background and white text is even more painful.

if you turn your head sideways and cross your eyes, then it's perfectly normal.

This is a very cool picture, but I get no pain or anything from looking at it. Does it actually cause some people pain? The only odd effect I notice is that when I'm looking at the eyes (either pair), the mouths kinda almost flicker a little (and vice versa). Other than that no pain or other oddities.

I find that if you cover up either the mouth or the eyes, the pain of looking at it goes away.

I have a copy of this same image from a few years ago. I don't think Mason did the work himself. (And he doesn't say he made the image either.) Just wanted to clarify that the image has been around a while. It's still a fun picture however. ;-)

How did the artist take the time to draw this image? I have a headache just looking at it for a few seconds.

the weird thing is... if you look at it from 6 or 7 feet away from the monitor, it looks perfectly normal.
