CERN strikes back

For those who read Dan Brown's enjoyable pop schlock novel Angels and Demons and wondered if CERN is really like his portrayal, the short answer is no. The long answer is here, the official response from the Laboratory, explaining why there will never be an antimatter bomb and why antimatter won't be used as an energy source anytime soon.

One thing left off the list: CERN scientists do not, in fact, have a wind chamber to float around in for relaxation. Most settle for coffees on a patio with a view of Mont Blanc.
