music of the universe ain't thumpin

Here's one of my only articles from my internship at CERN that I'm proud of:
The Music of the Universe

A new reanalysis of the cosmic microwave radiation leftover from the big bang shows that the radiation's large-scale fluctuations, akin to the bass notes in a song, seem to be caused by our solar system rather than the cosmos at large. If so, if this radiation is all treble and no bass, this could change cosmologists' views of the early universe, including when the first stars formed.
