watch the skies

From a Massachusetts Institute of Technology press release:
Astronomers... have revised the scale used to assess the threat of asteroids and comets colliding with Earth to better communicate those risks with the public.

...On the scale, zero means virtually no chance of collision, while 10 means certain global catastrophe.

Now they've added 11, which means "kill yourself now, there's no hope." (j.k.) Here's the scale (jpg).
