elevator hack

I'd read about a hack where you can hijack an elevator by pressing the "close doors" button at the same time as pushing the button of the floor you want to go to. I thought it was a funny idea, but the New Yorker's Nick Paumgarten actually put it to the test. I love his Talk of the Town pieces, but this is one of his best.
